The Kinabalu Call: What Happened To Mesilau
Mesilau was one of the two entrances to the summit trails of Mount Kinabalu. It used to be a tourist hotspot where one could admire the majestic mountain on the banks of Mesilau River.
Songs & Stories caught up with Justin Sator, the Mesilau Sub-Station Manager who shared about the devastation that hit this area during the earthquake. It was quite an experience being there as the earth and rocks were still loose. In fact, we were told to test each step and stay away from the edges as the latest aftershock happened just a couple of weeks before our visit!
